7 Days to Die is a macOS-compatible open-world survival crafting game that blends survival horror, first-person combat, RPG progression, base defense and sandbox building in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. Originally entering Early Access in 2013 and finally reaching a full 1.0 release in July 2024, it’s developed by The Fun Pimps and available on Mac, Windows, Linux, and modern consoles.

Set in the fictional county of Navezgane, Arizona, you start with little more than basic supplies and must scavenge, craft, build, and defend to survive. The game’s world features large biomes, dynamic day-night cycles and emergent zombie threats that grow more dangerous after every seven in-game days — especially during the infamous blood moon hordes.

Players gather resources to craft weapons, tools, armor, food, and vehicles, while also designing bases with traps, turrets, power grids and defenses to withstand undead assaults. With deep RPG progression, skill trees, perks, quests and NPC traders, combined with cooperative or competitive multiplayer, the experience is rich and highly replayable.
