Dying Breed Free Download

Dying Breed is a retro-inspired real-time strategy (RTS) game playable on Mac (macOS Sonoma or later), Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck, currently available in Early Access on Steam. It’s developed by Sarnayer and published by MicroProse, designed as a love letter to classic ’90s RTS titles with modern enhancements. In Dying Breed you command massive armies, build and defend bases, gather resources, and lead your forces through a post-apocalyptic world full of enemies — including zombies, mutant forces and rival factions. The game blends base-building, fast-paced strategic battles and cinematic flair with an aesthetic reminiscent of early real-time strategy classics.

At launch, Dying Breed features two playable factions (Good and Evil) with unique units and structures, a story campaign with 22 missions across 38 maps, and FMV (full-motion video) cutscenes to bring its narrative to life. The game also includes 70+ units, 58+ structures, dozens of soundtrack tracks and over 1,000 voice lines, immersing players in a gritty yet adrenaline-charged RTS experience styled with a 1990s electro-metal soundtrack. While still in Early Access, the developers plan future content like skirmish modes, new biomes, AI improvements and map creation tools.
