The Mechanics of “Neck Physics”

Using a dual-joystick setup, players control the body with the left stick and the stretching direction of the neck with the right. This allows you to:

• Grapple: Hook your chin onto ledges to pull your body up.
• Bridge: Extend your neck across chasms so your teammates can walk across you.
• Crane: Use your head to lift and move environmental objects or “bite” and swing friends.

Complementing this is a library of over 4,500 personally recorded mouth noises. Every grunt, groan, and wet smack produced by the characters was recorded by the developers, grounding the bizarre visuals in a very human (and slightly gross) reality.

• The Neckening Update (2026): This massive post-launch expansion introduced Global Online Leaderboards for the hardcore Masochist Mode—a checkpoint-free version of the game designed for speedrunners.
