Heroes Chronicles: The Fiery Moon is the sixth chapter in the Heroes Chronicles series — a set of standalone turn-based strategy campaigns built on the Heroes of Might & Magic III game engine for Windows. This episode continues the epic saga of the immortal hero Tarnum as he pursues the deranged Ancestor Vorr into a desolate world known as the Fiery Moon, where Vorr has imprisoned the remaining Ancestors and threatens all life. Unlike many other chapters, The Fiery Moon was originally released as a free downloadable bonus for players who owned at least three other Chronicles campaigns, and features a shorter campaign of five scenarios that build on the story arc begun in The World Tree.

Gameplay in The Fiery Moon stays true to classic Heroes of Might & Magic mechanics: you recruit and manage armies, capture towns and strategic resources, cast spells, and fight tactical battles on hex-based maps. In this chapter, Stronghold, Inferno, and Conflux towns are prominent factions, and your progress, heroes’ experience, spells, and artifacts carry over between scenarios — adding continuity and depth. The narrative emphasizes perseverance and redemption as Tarnum must free the Ancestors and ultimately confront Vorr on the scorched surface of the Fiery Moon.
