Set in a bleak Finnish winter of 1999, the game tasks you with buying, building and maintaining your own old car (a Corris Rivett) from scratch while managing realistic mechanical systems and fighting the environment itself — harsh cold, darkness and limited resources are constant threats.

Gameplay revolves around detailed car assembly with nearly 200 unique parts, realistic driving physics on snow-and-ice roads, and robust survival mechanics like body temperature, hunger, thirst and fatigue that require careful planning to stay alive. You’ll take on side jobs to earn money, engage in rally or circuit racing, and struggle with day-to-day life in an unforgiving winter, all with the looming specter of permadeath — if you die, you lose everything and restart from scratch. The game’s design is intentionally brutal and not recommended for newcomers or those unfamiliar with the predecessor’s steep learning curve.
