Northgard is a critically acclaimed real-time strategy (RTS) set in a Norse mythology-inspired world where you lead a clan of Vikings to conquer and settle the mysterious new continent of Northgard. You start with only a few warriors and must explore uncharted territories to build settlements, gather resources, and defend your people from weather, wildlife, and rival clans. Seasons play a major role — harsh winters sap food supplies and test your planning and survival skills. Strategic expansion and smart management are key to victory, whether through warfare, trade, lore, or fame.

Northgard features both story campaign missions and multiplayer modes, where up to six players can face off or cooperate in conquest and ranking battles. Players can choose from multiple Viking clans, each with unique traits and playstyles that shape different strategies.

For Mac players, Northgard was released for macOS back in 2018 and can run natively on Intel Macs; Apple Silicon Macs like M1/M2 may require Rosetta 2 to play smoothly.
