Astroloot is a sci-fi bullet-heaven action-RPG playable on Mac (macOS 14+ with Apple silicon), developed and published by Andreas Hager Gaming and released as an Early Access title on March 14, 2025. In this top-down ARPG meets bullet hell adventure, you pilot a customizable spaceship through the mysterious Astroloot Sector, battling hordes of foes, uncovering hidden secrets, and collecting powerful loot to build out unique and powerful builds.
The core loop of Astroloot combines fast-paced combat with deep character progression and near-infinite build customization. You begin by choosing one of three ship archetypes — Leviathan, Hyperion, or Chronos — and then tailor your playstyle using hundreds of items with up to six modifier slots each. A massive skill tree with over a thousand nodes lets you shape your ship’s abilities, while a deterministic crafting system using nine types of dice shows you exactly what your gear will become before you craft it.
Astroloot supports single-player and co-op (LAN/online for up to 2 players), full controller integration, cloud saves, and Steam achievements, all wrapped in a cozy yet deep ARPG experience where every run feels fresh.
